My Princess,

I have raised you up to a place of great purpose, but there will be many who will not understand your position. Even you may not realize why I have strategically placed you here for such a time as this. You will be tempted to seek the approval of others and waste precious time defending the plans that I've placed in your heart.

But remember, I am the Lord your God. You did not choose Me... I chose you. I will lift you high above any circumstances that come against My divine purpose for your life. The only one who can stop My miraculous work in and through your life is you. So instead of making one more plan, give your plans completely to Me, and let Me finish the work I started in you.

Time Tested Beauty Tips

 A beautiful poem by Sam Levenson, often mis-attributed to Audrey Hepburn. It was one of her favorite poems and she would often quote it and read it to her children.

For attractive lips,
Speak words of kindness.

For lovely eyes,
Seek out the good in people.

For a slim figure,
Share your food with the hungry.

For beautiful hair,
Let a child run his or her fingers through it once a day.

For poise,
Walk with the knowledge you'll never walk alone.

Well if you haven't already heard me talking about it, I LOVE Pinterest!! Pinterest is a virtual pinboard where you can pin and organize any picture that you like, and you can even upload one or just pin one you find online. You can pin a picture from any website you are on. Pinterest links to Facebook so you can automatically follow your Facebook friends. You can have more than one board - some of my boards include My Kind of Style, Destination Dreaming (travel ideas), In my Future House, and Ever After (wedding ideas). It is also a great way to share DIY crafts, recipes, hairstyles, products, whatever! Don't worry, gentlemen, there are pictures for you, too. Science, technology, history, cars, etc. Or you can just make an account to organize some of your favorite pictures (for example, cars). Yes, I can probably count the amount of males I've seen on the site on just one hand, but I'm just throwing it out there. Click here to check out my boards.

The actual purpose of this post was to share with you a hair-do I did yesterday. I found this tutorial on Pinterest and decided to try it out. I don't think I did it exactly right, I probably should have criss-crossed the pieces on either side and then I also forgot to leave the top piece for the end and do the optional tease. But hey, it was my first time and um, my hair is 4 feet long. My pieces were a little long so I just had to do a bunch of pin curls. For my first try I was happy with the result though. :) 

 

Think about it

You are the content of your character. You are the ambitions that drive you. You are the goals that you set. You are the things that you laugh at and the words that you say. You are the thoughts you think and the things you wonder. You are beautiful and desirable not for the clique you attend, but for the spark of life within you that compels you to make your life a full and meaningful one. You are beautiful not for the shape of the vessel, but for the volume of the soul it carries.
